Built a homemade wireless sensor bar for a buddy using hotwheels cars. Check it.

To figure out if you have the right LED's, quickly wire them up to a AAA battery (negative side of LED to negative side of battery and positive to positive). You shouldn't be able to see the light with your nekkid eye. The ones I bought from both ACTIVE and The Source, you could faintly see light with your naked eye, but the ones from the remotes you couldn't and those are the ones that worked.
