Gave me happy feet! Love it!

@jpschmidt44 It's fiddling, not classical violin. Hardly any of them care about "proper bow hold" as long as they get the desired sound.

Do yourself a favor and get someone to show you a proper bow hold.

Really great fiddle playing! Loved the grace notes, the whole song was excellent! Have you ever checked out any of Kevin Burke's playing?
-
Ok. I need you to play that agin. But WAAAAAY slower so I can pick up the grace notes and rols :-)

Now I know the next Irish fiddle song I'm gonna learn :-) I've been learning alot of Mairead Nesbitt's slip jugs and reels. But this one sounds like fun to play. Good job too! :-)

I've tried listening to recordings of as many different irish musicians as possible (fiddle and pipes mostly), and have taken classes/workshops with whomever was available to teach.
My favorites come from Kerry and southwest Clare, but there's really something to be gleaned from everyone.
My most direct influences are derived from the instruction of Gudrun Walter, Patrick Ourceau and James Kelly, and absorbing/dissecting recordings of Pat Mullins, Paddy Cronin, Patrick Kelly, and Denis Murphy.
