  • @wolfbabe319 well from what i have researched, girls are more active and they aren't super calm but thats not for every girl rat, but definitely most. they usually don't calm down unless you properly train them. Now for boy rats, usually they are laid back and relaxed, they aren't as active, but because of that, when they get older they can have a hind leg decease, oh and girls can be more likely to get tumors, usually cancer, but boys usually sit on u and don't scurry. hope that helped a little

  • Sometimes the bedding is a little bit dusty, and dust free bedding are a little bit expensive. So make it wet and wait 1-2 hours for drying, the bedding will have a lot less dust. That's the way they make dust free beddings, before they sell it.

Rat's are very sensitive for dust, it's very bad for there lungs.

  • that was helpful bc if i ever get a pet rat again ill know how to properly take care of him/her. btw that reminds me which gender of rat should i get? i already know if i get another rat im getting a jumbo rat. but idk which gender i should get. which gender is affectionate, playful, and calm when need be?

  • I think I have the same rat cage. Is that The Rat Manor from Petco? And I love your little beige hooded rat. I've wanted one like that for a while but can't seem to find one. I have an albino, a solid beige, and a black hooded. But I love them dearly <3 These videos are helpful. And out of curiousity, what are you spraying the cage with? A water/vinegar mixture is as effective as bleach without the damaging chemicals. This was helpful.

  • @phrikaphrak40k ya i is good if u do that coz most of the time if u dont it can make ur room smell like rat.

  • im thinkin of getting a pair of males soon but i had a qwestion, arent u supposed to scrub the cage with a soapy brush to clean smell and to help sanitize

  • any time
