The Marathon is looking for acoustic musicians to volunteer and perform all along our 26.2 mile course to encourage and entertain the runners and spectators. The marathon is a great opportunity for exposure as it is attended by nearly 40,000 runners and spectators! In addition, we offer free publicity for our performers who may submit flyers to be stuffed in our goody bags that go out to over 10,000 runners! Participation is on a volunteer basis and the marathon is unable to provide a power source. If you think you or your group can handle a little more excitement than just cheering -- then VOLUNTEER! It takes thousands of volunteers to make the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K run smoothly. There are opportunities to man water stations, help with food at the finish line, staff the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday and Saturday, work with the Kids Race, clean up litter, organize the post-race concert and much more. Volunteers receive training and a free t-shirt for donating their time at the event. Plus, 14,000 "thank yous" will make anyone feel good!
