Selena: *walks to the council room and peeks in*

Head Counsel: Your Majesty, we need you to sign this.

Joe: *staring blankly into space*

Council 2: Sire? *shakes him*

Joe: *punches him*

Council 2: *nurses his broken nose*

Council 4: *restrains Joe*

Joe: *fights him off screaming* Take your hands off of me!! *knocks him to the ground*

Selena: *rushes in as soldiers try to restrain him* Stop!

Soldiers: *ignore her*

Joe *screams in outrage and continues knocking them down*

Selena: *pushes the soldiers out of the way and places her hands on Joe's fists* Joseph, listen to me.

Joe: *stares at her blankly*

Selena: Would Demi like what you are doing?

Joe: *frowns* But she's not alive..

Selena: She will be.

Joe: *eyes her* How?

Selena: *looks around at the soldiers' questioning looks* Can we talk in private?

Joe: *motions for everyone to leave*

Everyone: *leaves quietly and shut the door*

Joe: What are you not telling me?

Selena: *bites her lip* There's a way to bring her back. (He flinches and then I see it, a glimmer of hope shining through his eyes. He barely smiles, but it's a smile.)

Joe: There's a way?....Really?

Selena: *smiles* Yes really. That's why every time you see her, she just looks like she's sleeping.

Joe: Without breathing.

Selena: You know what I mean. All we have to do is wait for Celebrant to come back-

Joe: *face darkens* Celebrant? What does he have to do with Demi?

Selena: He's the only one who can save her.

Joe: He is not. There is another way.

Selena: No there isn't! Weill you put away your jealousy of him?! He is not trying to steal her away from you!

Joe: Yes he is! I see the way he looks at her! He loves her!

Selena: But she loves YOU! He's doing this for you, Joseph!

Joe: No he's not! He's doing it for himself and for his foolish elves.

Selena: Last time I checked, you're part elf and you are part of this war between the Dark Spirit. They will come and kill you too if Demi doesn't give birth to a true blood elf!

Joe: ENOUGH!! Do not DARE throw me into the elven loop! Four months ago, I thought you were human! You have no right to be calling out my bloodline and I will NOT join forces with them no matter how hard you plea. I will not send my people into a battlefield with a race that they don't even know exist!

Selena: Then tell them!

Joe: And have them think I'm cracked?! I will never do such a thing.

Selena: Then I will! They need help, Joseph, they can't fight alone. If you don't tell them then I swear I will.

Joe: No one will believe you, to them you are a servant, nothing more.

Selena: I'll....I'll tell them the truth.

Joe: *eyes widen* You wouldn't dare.

Selena: I will! Someone needs to help them.

Joe: *voice softens as he holds her arm* But They'll track you. They'll be able to find you and I won't be able to stop it.

Selena: You can't always protect me, brother. Sooner or later, I must tell them. Letting them go on with their lives without knowing the truth, puts them in danger. You know there is a dark evil stirring and they will find out one way or another.

Joe: You don't understand!! If I tell them, there will be widespread panic. The markets would close, lives would be lost, the kingdom would be in chaos! You've played a role as a servant for as long as you can remember. You have NO idea how much my decisions weigh on the public. Contemplate your options more wisely before you speak to me again. *throws her arm down then starts walking off*

Selena: The same for you, brother.

Joe: *storms off*
