Rally to stop socialized medicine held by the group 'STOP SEWER SOCIALISM' Its not about sewage. Its about freedom. - Sal the Sewer Guy, Spokesman for Stop Sewer Socialism We need to make people understand that having the government build sewers and sewage treatment plants is a form of socialism. Paying taxes to the government to provide the American public with sewage disposal is just like paying taxes to provide the American public with health care coverage. Once you let the government be involved in sewage disposal, its a slippery slope to socialized medicine. The foundation of our nation is freedom. But today, under that foundation are the pipes of socialism! Sal the Sewer Guy picks up where Joe the Plumber left off when he says: This is our moment. This is our movement.

  • I agree with you Sal, but I think you've understated the depth of the problem. We need to get rid of local government too. We can't stop at just getting rid of the Feds. This week I was wiring some lights in my pool and a nosy city inspector told me I couldn't use 110 volts. He said I have to use a special 12 volt system instead of just plugging them into the wall like any normal person would. This costs a lot more money. He claims it's a shock hazard. I say those claims are ungrounded.
