Known for his hits "There's A Song On The Jukebox" and "From Barrooms To Bedrooms" in the mid 70's, David made himself a brief comeback in the mid 80's with 3 top 40 hits on the country charts after a long drought. This was the 2nd of those, reaching #26 early in 1984. It's not bad, so take a listen if you haven't heard it before!

  • Wilbur, are these 45's the ones that get autographed for radio stations/ Also do they make a lot of the "not for sale"ones?

  • @no1countryfan From what I recall from my college days (I have a BAA in Broadcasting), they don't make a lot of the promotional copies. Technically they're not for sale, but it's not against the law to sell 'em anyhow.

  • Last I heard David had gotten into the gosphel market. My brother and I had a band that used to back him up a shows back when this album was out. He had another album recorded but it was never released.

  • I have this song on a vinyl 45 and 33 lp as well -The Eyes Of A Stranger was also on the mini lp that had only 8 songs

  • What a great tune, One of my all time favorite singers, Very underrated

  • @DontForgetToJog Don't have that one :(

  • David had a real purple patch during the seventies when his great honky-tonk songs hit gold dust in the country charts. I wonder if he is still out there still performing in the clubs and concert venues?
