You can keep pressing the coffee button until the light on the steam button turns off: this means you that you reached the maximum setting. You can lower the setting by turning the coffee dial to the minimum, press and hold the steam button and pressing the coffee button as many times as many seconds you'd like to decrease the grinder's working time. If you do it right the light on the steam button will blink once when you press the coffee dial.

If the icons are blinking you can release the coffee button.
Now turn your coffee dial to the maximum.
Press and hold the steam (water on Odea Giro) button and while pressing and holding the steam button press the coffee button once.
If the machine recognising the impulse the light on the steam button will blink once.
Each press on the coffee button represents plus 1 second of the grinders operating time.

Hidden service mode: You can only access the test mode on the V1 series of Odeas and Taleas.
With the machine off, press and hold the coffee button, turn on the machine while holding the coffee button until the icons on the left side panel start blinking.
If the icons aren't blinking then you have a V2 Odea, only an official Saeco service can help you by reprograming the machine via the infra-red port.

that's right, there's a factory limit. At this limit, coffee doesn't flow; 2 notches back seems to work fine. I don't understand why saeco sets such a coarse setting. Thank you very much

well, i've disarmed the hopper and modified the adjustment to get 2 steps more fine. Now seems to flow a little slower with a thicker and darker crema. I will taste it after lunch. Does it have a limit??? I only hope not to crash the grinder burrs, the machine is only a month old :S

Yes, please provide some more instructions. This is more of a teaser, but it would be nice if you could help out.

Hi! The grind adjusts I know how to do but if I put too fine the grinder jams at some time and discard the coffee, then I need to restart and everything works until a new jam occurs. How can I use the "hidden service mode"?
Regards,
Marcelo
don't be afraid, the burrs can't touch each other, there is a factory zero point.
I usually set the grinder to the factory zero point and then back 2 notches to the coarser direction.
