Denon DN-SC2000 and Xone 1d together with the Pioneer DJM-400 is a great tool, my favourite setup so far, take a listen to this short mix.

@taximusicman Thanks! I just got a Denon SC2000, but couldn't find any info about soundcard and prelistening the mixed version of the songs. Can buy an Audio4 or 6 savely now. ;)

Just wondering, do you prelisten with the soundcard or with the mixer? And if you prelisten with the soundcard, is it possible to prelisten the mix? Something i just can't figure out about the external soundcard, if prelistening channels at the same time is possible..

@DJKNYCE Ive got 2 Dnsc-2000's now but if you can afford the 6000 you would have a great mobile setup. thanks for your comment.

It will work as a midi controller, if you wanted to assign all the buttons to another program it would take a while but yes you could do that.

On this one I monitored the mix with the mixer, Traktor can be set up to send 2 pairs of outputs to the mixer like this (a pair being 1 left and 1 right channel ie stereo, like headphones, sound in each ear) or you can have a master out without using a mixer and a monitor button which could be set to either channel or a mix / combination of them both. You don't need a mixer with the xone 1d as you can use it to do the mixer function but you really need at least a 4 channel sound card.

how do you got your sc2000 hooked up to your mixer? nice vid btw!!!

@DjCBeatzzz The Audio 4 dj soundcard routes the audio to the mixer, bear in mind the denon does nothing with the audio signal, it handles the midi operation only.

Hey man, great mix! Just a question..I have the same hardware bar the mixer and including the macbook and i'm just curious how you achieve 3 usb ports (for 1D, Sc2000 and soundcard?) can the X1D and Sc2000 share a usb port? Cheers

@matthill163 Yea with a powered usb hub, i'm also recording with a webcam off the mac at the same time, now I have 2 Denon's so not using the 1d just a pioneer mixer, check out a couple of my mixes on minkeymusic
