Read what Neuhaus has written and said about piano performance and Richter... may be then you'll start to think differently.

Nice! I often come away from performances of this feeling that the opening was overdone--that it was forced on me...too much.
I prefer the subtle and subdued feeling of this performance.

what a sound!!! and the voicings! Heinrich Neuhaus is one of the most important persons for piano in history

This is the only performnace I know of this magcial composition that makes it sound at once as a "fantasie." It's hard to believe Neuhaus was the teacher of Richter, as they are so different; it speaks well for Neuhaus, however, that he did not impose his style upon the other pianist.

Very rare document...
Amazing interpretation.
Beauty of the "sound" , always "singing" , and with the deepest power of soul...

Thank you !!!!!
Concerning Richter: Neuhaus was by far the greater pianist & musician in general! And his two greatest "pupils" are, for me personally, Lupu & Lubimov.

Dear Marcel, you can express your *personal* opinions as often and as "loud" as you wish, but your anti-Richter bias is well known - changing your account/user name doesn't help... ;)
Why not to use all this rage for something more productive?
