you can get an HP with a cable card for $600. Prety decent price if you ask me. And ATX to boot, so you can just take the Mobo and put it in any case you like

The question is.. Are these premium cable channels, and is the QAM decoders available on the consumer level? The OEM "cable ready" PC's arent worth getting because they are too expensive, and the Cable Labs are like nazi's with their decoding technology.
Why cant I buy a set top box that is compatible with my PC to watch premium channels that I pay for? Because Cable labs made Microsoft sign a deal that it would only allow "cable ready" operating systems with specific OEM vendors. Cable nazis

These things will be a fluke if they are not allowed to sold independently. Who will buy a new PC for a media center when your current PC is most likely good enough already.
+ for all of us system builders, we would never buy a pre-built machine.
What cards are those?
LOL funny that you choose six now with the rumored Ceton 6 tuner cablecard system being talked about. The 4 tuner version finally just released.

@Bdubslawman These were the single tuner ATI Digital Cable Tuners... it has been discontinued by ATI. We did this system about 3 years ago.
