@malomalone The CENTER #71 was called for the chop block, not L-guard and L-tackle...
This vid doesn't do the call justice. Texas #71 was called again for chop block on Texas' 1st offensive play of the 2nd half as well. There is an instant replay where clearly, the center #71 blocks freaking AIR, and never touched ANYONE. If anything, the player should be taken out of the game and replaced with a player WHO WANTS TO FREAKING PLAY BALL !!!

Take a look to the AR:
Chop Block—ARTICLE 3
Approved Ruling 2-3-3
III- Immediately after the snap, left guard A65 and left tackle A79
simultaneously block B66, who is in the neutral zone. (a) Both
blocks are at the thigh. (b) One contact is at the waist and the other
at the knee. RULING: (a) Legal blocks for a low-low combination.
(b) Foul, chop block.

Go to the youtube search above and enter Auburn Cheap Shot Chop Block and the first vid that appears will give you the perfect example of a "chop block"...Nebraska fans think their team was screwed in this game...I've got 5 vids that show how Texas was the TRUE screw-eeee.
I thought a chop block was legal if it occurs within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage. (?)

@charlieparker1234 Chop blocks are never legal Don't confuse chop with a simple block below the waist Chops require 2 blockers at the same time, 1 hi and 1 low

Was is the Center & Left Guard called for the CBlock? If so, that was a Low-Low block.
I thought Low/Low blocks were legal as long as they were blocks at the same time (simultaneous)????

Low-low is NOT a foul, regardless if there is a delay between the blocks or not

Rule 2-3-3:1. All combination blocks with a low element (e.g. high-low, low-high or low-low), with or without a delay, by non-adjacent linemen, within the neutral zone, are chop blocks.
2. All combination blocks with a low element (e.g. high-low, low-high or low-low), with or without a delay, where all players are beyond the neutral zone, are chop blocks.
This nor the 2nd penalty for "chop block" were correct calls...unless chopping air is against the rules.

A "low-low" is NOT a foul. Also, the neutral zone is no longer important with regards to the chop block foul.
