Sabudana Khichdi is easy to cook spicy tapioca. It is very much used during the Navratri or Navratra fast.

Sabudana khichadi is an Indian dish made from soaked Tapioca. It is usually prepared in northern parts of India, including hill states like J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal and even in Gujrat & Maharashtra. It is the dish of choice when somebody is observing a fast during Navratri when consuming salt, unlike most of other fasting occasions in Hinduism, is considered kosher. Tapioca is soaked for some time and then is fried with cumin seeds, salt, red chili powder, green chilies and other optional ingredients such as fried peanuts, raisins etc. Khichdi is usually garnished with coriander leaves.
