@mischatal The very movement of people that caused any "refugees" at the birth of Israel, were arabs fleeing Israel for fear of being swept up in the war declared by surrounding arab Nations, whereas Jews fleeing Europe after the Holocaust & lynching by Arabs; both created the same number of people. Israel accepted the Jews, the Arab nations kept out the Pals as eternal propaganda tools against Israel.

Arafat later Declared the Pal Cause to only be an excuse to destroy Israel.

Israel was granted land by the winning countries after the second world war and GOD! They have developed into one of the best countries in the world at all levels and in all things. Palestine on the other hand was developed to cause problems for Israel by islam, palestine doesn't truly have a legit claim on the land they stole nor do they have a real sate let alone country. A 2 State Solution has been on the table since Israel's inception, the only thing stopping it from happening is Hamas, Fatah, & Hezbollah etc. There finally taking it would be "What I want" but if the viable alternatives are [predictably] the one state solution of Palestine & 6 Million Dead Jews [& quite a few Arabs & Christians], or Israel maintaining a blockade with skirmishes targeting terrorists from which there are civilian casualties. Israel is MORE than capable of wiping out ALL Pals but exemplifies restraint, Targeting only terrorists, Hamas's Charter declares genocide as its goal & targets civilians. You don't know your History. Israel Responded to "We will push the Jews Into The Sea" & preparations to do it with the 6 day war, but didn't even keep all the land captured. Israel leafleted areas before retaliating to rocket attacks from Pals targeting civilians, Israel gave "Land for Peace" only to have the infer-structure of that land gutted by pals & sold to pay for rockets to attack Israel with Specifically Civilians. Hamas's Charter Declares Genocide against Jews!
