  • I would like to know the tune and the strings you use this music video Crazy eda. I would do the same in my Lap Steel, if you can put in details for me. Example: La tuning and the string you use. Thank you, I enjoyed your videos.

  • @RomiltonLima @RomiltonLima

Crazy is written by Willie Nelson and made famous by Patsy Cline. there are many youtube videos of it by numerous performers.

    String gauges GeorgeBoards recommends from the High to Low are: .011 G - .014 E - .017 C - .020p A - .026w G - .032 E - .038 C - .046 A

The High E string is the same pitch as a normal guitar.

We sell these strings at georgeboards website

  • i just got my lap steel in the other day.... is it normal to hear a scratchy noise when i drag my bar across strings...? or is that just my being a newby?

  • I have 2 Videos on Bar Control within steelguitarcamp on youtube.

Try to Master those 2 videos and ask more questions. I personally answer every question, gladly.

    Thanks --- MR.Boards PHd

  • There are numerous variations on the C6th Tuning:

In this video I am using a G on the Highest string. For the Melody of Crazy it works perfectly.

Having the F on your lowest string -- it gives a F major chord on the bottom end.

You can also try a Bb on the low string, that creates a Big Fat Dom 7th Chord. With A as your low string it is easy to quickly pull it up to a Bb and return to A after during a performance.

Thanks for the Question -- Stay Tuned we are adding Videos again 02/01/2010
