@LeoInterHyenaem "The cleats of these, too, are made of plasticine. They'll wear out in a week to two. "
Oh please.
The cleats are mass from brass. The reason they are made from brass is because you want your cleats to wear down, not your pedals - and cleats cost $15, and they last easily 2000 miles.

@cularu1 "Crankbrothers should fix this as it shows in every eggbeater"
Well, it's fixed now on the egg beater C's and there is a 5 year warranty with them.

The cleats of these, too, are made of plasticine. They'll wear out in a week to two. That's nice for fools willing to squander €25,- a week, a lot of time, effort, their expectations on another plasticine set of cleats for the next week to two to go, but anyone with a modicum of common sense must shun these. In comparison, SpeedPlay Frog cleats will last you years. So will SPDs…

disassemblare the pedal and recharge the spring

There's a lot of float on them, but they are comfortable. I've never pulled out.
But I did break my left pedal again, spring snapped again. I have 2 pairs of the egg beaters just so I don't have to deal with the downtime.
I like the pedals but the spings suck. They need to improve them.

800 miles! I tried my 3Ti beaters tonight for the very first time and using new to me Sette mtb shoes....was able to clip in immediately. Like people are saying though...they're loose...bought them used, but i feel like i could slip right out of them.

With your Eggbeaters, you have to replace your cleats pretty often.
I don't want to get into a war about what is better, I can only say Eggbeaters are cheap, and they are light, and I prefer them over Looks and SPDS, and I fucking HATE SPDS. SPDS hurt my knees, and I hate them hate them hate them. Looks are OK though.
If I were to move to another pedal, it would probably be Speedplays. I like float and lots of it. Never been able to try Exustar but they look SPDish.
We can adjust the pedal. Cost intervention is euro 30 for the couple + shipping costs to Italy.
If you are interested look for valverde66 on ebay (to see the feedback) and write him (He is me)

@GFMountainBike how do you do the adjustment?

No, I didnt sent them for waranty, because it should have expired.
I bought a new pair for like 1 year or less and hey already start showing the same signs of wear. These new ones are the ones I use on the bike. I really dont know how to avoid this strange wearing, even with good lube it still develops.
Crankbrothers should fix this as it shows in every eggbeater
