They told me the phone isn't for sale... its available on a 3 year lease. They said I can't buy it outright.
They also said if I buy a US 3g Iphone, they wouldn't let it on the system unless I bought a sim card from them for the same price as a phone, on a 3 year contract.
It really is criminal.
Plus I see they are charging the 'system access fee' again.
They stopped charging me for it, now they are slipping back in it seems.

Well no they aren't selling it outright of course not because then they'd have people using it on pay as you go and complaining about the data prices eating up their cards instantly (pay as you go data is 5c per kb).
The only way you can get it is on a 3 year contract, and no one in the states is selling it outright either, so it'd be pointless for you to go down there and buy one anyway unless you live there most of the time right?

no its not the exact same price. Rogers are ripping everybody off by charging people $ 584.92 for that iphone 3gwith 3 year term contract. This is so outrageous. They should go out of the business and they deserve it big time

News to me as I bought one yesterday and it costed $300 for the 6GB.. $337 after tax and I was a new activation, and my sister who is an existing account got hers at the same price.

no man i called rogers today and they are like the total costs with taxes comes to $584.92. i am not joking. That the price they gae me for 16 gb white iphone 3g.

Or maybe you aren't elidgible for a hardware upgrade discount..
My sister got hers for the regular price but she has been with Rogers for like 8 years.
