  • wasn't he a piano player primarily?

  • @mscotthorn No, he was a guitarist. Check out his wikipedia entry.

  • For all our younger friends, this gentlemen was a favorite bluesman of Syd Barret .... the name of the band comes from Floyd Anderson and Pink Anderson .... history is a circle .. hehehehehe. Michel - Belgium.

  • Sorry, Michel, but you are quite wrong. Pink Floyd was named after Syd's favorite Piedmont bluesmen, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, a thousand miles from Chicago!

  • @Sixgutstringable well yeah his "success" is undoubtable, but I kinda feel like it's a shame seeing such a talented man feeling down on himself

  • Awesome!

  • Floyd says he didn;t "make it." You did Floyd. You did.

  • Floyd Jones also performed this song live in a public TV documentary about the closing of the Chicago stockyards. He sang it at banquet for the closing ceremonies.
