News Update: Fight breaks out at US Open during Djokovic Petzchner Match

It was a good match at Arthur Ashe Stadium last night at the US Open -- but the match was not on the courts but in the stands between two fans. The NY Times reports that during Novak Djokovic's second-round match against Philipp Petzchner - game was briefly delayed in the middle of the first set after a fight erupted in the upper deck of the stadium. Police indicated that a male fan was repeatedly cursing throughout the match and behaving obnoxiously. Two spectators seated close by, confronted the man who did not meet their feedback favorably. Police stated that shortly thereafter, the man confronted the woman. She then slapped him in the face. Undeterred, the man sat back down and continued to curse at the woman. At this point the woman's father attempted to grab him. The two men fell down two rows of seats during the incident. A spokesman for the United States Tennis Association stated that "all three people were handcuffed and brought to the 110th Precinct in Queens". No one was arrested, however warnings and a ban from the Open for a specified period of time was given.
