@MaksimSF We have had a number of paratrooper save their own lives when they have had malfunctions when jumping from 1000 ft. When people ask me how long do you have to deploy the reserve, I tell them "the rest of your life".

@PabloPicanto I have done a 3,000 ft static line with a T10B-D.
-
@PabloPicanto NO,it snot to high, im trying to tell you
-
Yes, actually you can jump static line higher than 1200ft. 1987 Sicily drop zone at Ft.Bragg, 2500ft from a C5A Gobe Master.
-
@MaksimSF You have enough time to pull the reserve in the event your main chute does not open at 1200 ft.
-
@MaksimSF It's 1200 ft. Airborne jumps are not intended to keep you in the air any longer than need be. We jump from 1250 ft in 3 PPCLI.

@xFogxofxWarx 1200 meters not ft, jumping 1200 ft is like what 300 meters?

@MaksimSF Unfortunately, it was 1200 ft, meaning 365 meters!! When you jump with a static belt, you can't go higher!

@PabloPicanto uh you can jump way higher than 1200ft actually...I believe up to 5000ft..been a while since i had to know that stuff...highest exit i did with static line was 3000ft (it was test jump)

@trufiend138 I didn't know that! If it's true, it is too high for a jump with static line!
