@cwross1976 Ethics and morals are two different things. Ethics are based on social systems that can shown to have merit or have no merit (your Black and White). An action (such as theft) can be decidedly unethical due to evident harm done. Morals are personal beliefs and opinions. I never said people don't know good and evil, don't put words in my mouth. I simply said that defining such terms based on moral opinion as oppose to ethical fact is asinine, and more so for broad blanket statements.

@23animosity23 wrong. we all know what good is and what evil is. it's really rather black and white. people like to equivicate and create gray areas in which they can hide their various shameful behaviours. when I speak of morality i'm not talking about the 'thees and thous' of a dogmatic system. i refering to the fact that no one wants to have THEIR shit taken or THEIR child raped and killed. anyone who says this is OK are lieing, even the ones who do such evil things for fun...

@cwross1976 Logically deciding what actions are constructive for an overall social system is acceptable. I speak of the "morality" of the governments and the churches that made blanket statements of what is "Good" and what is "Evil" that do so simply for the sake of banal restriction. Morals are fine... When they are kept to the self. But they cannot be used to justify, and trying to state that any idea is innately evil without evidence beyond "I think it could be bad" is flawed.

@cwross1976 I'm hardly saying this is something set in stone because some prophet said so. Just look at the events of history and you'll notice a trend or a pattern. I'm not saying "Yeah, lets kill dem christians cause why not?" I'm simply stating that new ideas and certain beliefs are becoming more widely accepted, and history tends to repeat itself, so to try to stop their spread would be an asinine waste of time. Sorry, but you can't use morality against common sense and win, sir.
