I saw this when I was 17 and it sent me reeling, made me suddenly and painfully aware that my teenage life was achingly empty. I longed to sail the world, have adventures and most of all to meet someone like Patty. Guess it was just a crush but when I hear that song I still feel the intense restless yearning echoing down the years. I have tried to find a copy of the movie but no luck, perhaps it's best left as a memory.

@dorwink If you can attach your VCR to a computer that has a TV tuner card (ask a friend how), you can play the tape and see it on your computer and record it there, then make your own DVD. (As long as it's for personal use only.)

t@janpath1 IT did the same for me .. I live in Thailand now have traveled the globe and saw this film at 12 .. It affected my entire life pattern .. I sought freedom and lived for it .. Now 48 and retired
One of the greatest injustices in British chart history was that this was never a hit. Brilliant song! Mixed memories of the summer of 1974 when family life was collapsing all around me but there were places like Shingle Street and Shotley where we could escape and sail the summer winds.
