Several members of the New Colony Six came to us after spending time in another local band, called the Revelles. We kiddingly referred to them as our farm team back in the day. While with the Revelles, our own Bruce Mattey wrote this song in 1963, one year pre-Beatles' invasion. Here it is filmed and recorded live off the house sound at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center venue on 8-16-08 by Gale Rosenfeld. I think it could have been a hit back then, but even today, the song immediately transports me back to head-shaking mop tops and mini-skirted go go girls. Now that my own mop is once again long enough to shake, why don't you shake yours and/or put on those knee-high boots and mini skirt and shake something else, while Bruce sings lead and Mark Eskin and I provide the harmonies for this great song from yesteryear, Little Girl!
Great, and groovy outfits. . . . . but the damn pointy headstock guitar needs to GO! :P
