    Ron Paul and his supporters have no clue how economics work and how it has worked throughout the world for the past century. They also don't realize what the perils would be of going back onto the gold standard. The Federal Reserve may be a shady institution, but they know more about economics than people who think that gold has more intrinsic value than fiat money.
