Unfortunately this isn't my model, but I will be flying it in our annual flying display this month. This is it's 1st flight for me, with a borrowed DX7.

  • wow that's awesome man, I never been into RC's myself but this heli is pretty cool.. how much for a set up like this?

And how much practice does one need in order to learn to fly like you?

  • @MetlHead37 Thanks mate!

This one isn't mine but I'll guess it's around $1500 ++, so I'm VERY careful when I fly it! :)

I've been flying for nearly 3 years, but I'm a slow learner with these things. :)

  • Neat... :D

Glad you were chosen by the owner to fly it for him. That's says a lot.

  • @RC62 Sorry for the late reply.Yeah I'm glad too, makes me feel "special". :)

  • That's a pretty impressive model, there must be a lot of time and money tied up in that. You must be one of the top guns in your club to be trusted with something like that!

  • @JimNtexas Yeah I think it's worth around $1500! There's another heli pilot that, in my opinion, is much better than me, but for some reason the owner asked me. I feel privileged to fly it for him. Could have been that I paid him more than the other guy. :)

  • @thecadman22 Gday. I'm not sure what TX comes with the CX2, but the DX6i definately has some good trimming functions. Just remember that to fly a heli, even in the hover, your thumbs are ALWAYS moving. They can't be flown hands off, unless it's a coaxial heli.

  • @brotherblonde OK thanks. Just wandered for future reference. I'm just a real beginner with seriuos RC's. I have an eflite Blade CX2, that I've had an on/off love/hate relationship with for about three years now. Seems like I can never get the thing trimmed in decently. So it sits on the shelf on and off depending on how frustrated I get. I only have the stock TX that comes with the RTF version. Do you think getting a better one like a DX6 might help with trimming it in?

  • @thecadman22 Thanks mate. The hardest part was setting the Tx up for the heli....swash mixes, servos reversing, thrott/pitch curves etc etc.

The kit comes pre-paintd but I don't know the manufacturer because it's not mine. i will find out & let you know. It may be Heliartist.

  • @KWAKAPILOT Yeah absolutely mate!

    's a shame I don't own the airwolf. I'd love to though.
