Altruism (helping others without expecting a reward) is a difficult notion as depicts a seemingly irrational behavior that decreases the chances for living of the individual. Yet we can find it everywhere...

Using two simple terms (Self and Environment) we manage to understand it and we get also a picture on its relations to aggression and group forming
