Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) is bringing in federal law enforcement to help state and local authorities crack down on crime.

When diversity moves in crime goes up! My hometown of Chalmette, LA was destroyed by Katrina. I rented a half double in a small neighborhood that was all white before the storm and had existed since the 70,s with no significant crime. After Katrina some asswipe bought up about 25 of the doubles and renovated them and turned them into section 8 housing. Immediately a bunch of blacks move in, within the first month they had a murder. Whites lived their 30+ yrs. with no murder, blacks 1 month.

@JohnnyMidnight1 I did not get shot at, a van blocked the road and a guy got out with a pistol. I revved my engine, ducked down, and peeled out right towards him. He jumped back in his car and I drove on the shoulder of the road to get away. He followed me for a while & eventually stopped after about 3 miles.

I do have friends who have been shot at in North st.louis which is right across the river & just as bad as the east side.

This is very disturbing. I will refrain from verbally attacking you because that wouldn't be right either. I will pray for you because obviously you have issues with yourself. When you have to degrade an entire community that you don't live in and have never been to, it reveals that you have issues. @JohnnyMidnight1 East st. louis is about the worst place in the country. Half of the people I know have been robbed, assaulted, and shoot at and one even got kidnapped down there. I worked with a girl who's mom was robbed, thrown in the trunk of her car after being shot, and then burned in the trunk for only $200.

I have personally been road blocked by a van & a guy with a gun got out. I ducked down & drove on the shoulder of the road to get away. Don't go there for fun.

I live on the edge of east st. louis; have fun with your endeavors. I drive through it twice a day 5 days out of the week to go to work.

Stay in your car, keep the doors locked, don't stop at stop signs, keep a distance from train stops so you can turn around if need be, and if someone approaches your car do not be afraid to run them over or drive off in a hurry.

The cops won't go to half the neighbor hoops there & I see a lot of shit spill over to my area. Its no joke; don't go there.

I remember going to E St Louis when I was about 8-9 years old and this would ahve been in the late 80's early 90's for a high school football band booster. We hardly ever went to games and I could have cared less about football, for some reason my parents took me along. I was a scary ass city where nearly every house was boarded up or burned. Themanhole covers and storm drains were sometimes missing as well.
