Wow! I love this! It makes me very excited about music

Itamar is amazing percussion player and Mark, well... he's god!!!!
imagine them (Mark Guiliana & IItamar Doari) plying together...
yes, Aurora is different than the previous albums of Avishai but this is refreshing. but I want to see the old trio back on stage soon!!!

Saw this last night in Toronto...the Aurora band. Incredible emotional artistry...know no borders.

@NostalgicProcrast My reaction when I heard this album for the first time was exactly the same as yours. But then I listened to it again, and I've seen them live 2 days ago, and now I think it's a good thing that he's experimenting new stuff. His new band is oustanding live! But even though his new percussionnist is incredibly good, being a drummer myself and a complete fan of Mark, I must admit that I miss him... a LOT

nice piano player. for a great jazz version of "Sheharhoret" (called "Morenika" on Avishai's recording), listen to Issi Rozen's recording, Dark Beauty

saw him on the Stockholm Jazz Festival this year, and it was amazing! So living and soulfull.
And the percussionist is just mindblowing!!

I like this. I like his voice and the addition of brass and such, but I hope he goes back to the trio-thing. I like that concept more. To see what just drums, piano and bass can create. I miss Mark.

Wel, I love this cd. It is certainly different but, have life and atmosphere of its own. He is great bass player, and as a vocalist... he is ok, but the vocal is only a part of a bigger picture. This is for me a big opportunity to get in touch with jewish songs and culture. I wish I could understand the words!

Jazz is about innovation. If it always stays the same then why do it? This sounds like it's an amazing album. Cohen is my favorite acoustic bassist and I look forward to it.

As a Jewish-Israeli listner I dissagree with the below mantioned critisizm. I find this album exciting! it has a different ambiance, nostalgic, earthly, Avishai takes his beautifuly designed fusion between arab traditional desert music, jazz and jewish-sepharadi traditional vibe - to a whole new place - each time deeper and deeper into that blend of magic tunes. Defenately a brilliant album, I am hooked.
