The project London | TOKYO was conducted in October 2009 at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in London and the Temple University in Tokyo.
One group of students in London and one group of students in Tokyo were connected to produce a collaborative mobile-mentary. The first activity was a mobile phone filmmaking lecture by Max Schleser. The participants worked together using web 2.0 technologies for editing and mobile phones for filming. The task for the mobile filmmakers was to explore the city through the lens of a mobile phone with a colleague across the world and produce a short film, mobile-mentary or micro-movie. Following the introduction via Skype the mobile phone filmmakers communicated via Facebook and edited using Jaycut.

Filmed on mobile devices in London and Tokyo and edited collaboratively
in two weeks.

Texture | PATTERN by Tamer Akeil and Tokyo participants from the Temple University.

Produced by Max Schleser in collaboration with

FILMOBILE, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Temple University Tokyo. Supported by B3 Media.
