i try to make my geman shepherd chow mix lie down, but when i try to put the treat down to make him lie down he nips my fingers until i drop the treat, any suggestions?

I swear i never had a smarter dog then my pit i never knew they were so smart & at such young ages but it does take alot of paitence but they respond so well

Good job. Pit bulls do not require harsh training methods. They respond well to treats and affection. Good luck.

its hard to train them to lay down the way you do it thats really good man i had to take a diff approach but whatever works. Whoever said pitbulls are stubborn were not lying looks like you are a good trainer or you have a really smart dog or a combo of both keep the vids coming

Im still training him now and he is going to be 14 months on August 7 but he learned these commands in a couple of days. Repetition is the key

yah he is house broken and pretty obedient. he is in a cage when there is no supervision though
