Flexibility comes with time. Don't matter how old are you i believe if you keep some hours from you day, everyday to work some part of your body u can improve it! Your body can do EVERYTHING that your mind trully believe it can!

Yes, I have executed this stretch on some of my girls, BUT to stretch the upper and middle back its better if the trainer holds your elbows, this can put potentially a lot of strain on the shoulders. To achieve the necessary hip flexion do lots of deep lunges, working to get the front of the leg which lies on the ground, completely flat on the floor. That will help with your mountain.
