It would be very nice if you can make a tutorial for the Arnold Render.
Yes, i know it's in Beta in I cant use it :p,

Why are you clicking in the viewport before pressing A? Softimage tracks where your mouse cursor is and automatically applies the command to the relevant viewport. No need to "activate" a viewport like in other software.

you are correct, some things like "O" orbit, require the viewport to be clicked however so I guess thats why I mentioned it. ... or a brain fart one of the two, its been a while!
