Crew Review: Hario Cold Brew

If you love iced coffee, then brewing it up cold and then mixing it with ice may produce an even richer, more delicious cup. We tested out Hario's Cold Brew with Velton's Twilight Blend to see how it worked and loved it! It could have been the beagle cups, but we're pretty sure it was the coffee.

cant access your site..what is filter made of? glass carafe? are there health benefits of cold pressed coffee besides less acid?

@sdtue They are glass; there aren't any health benefits that I know of, myself, other than a decrease in acidity. But the flavor is quite different from a cold brew vs. a hot brew - Kat

The paws that refreshes! XD This is real grounds-intensive. i usually make my iced coffee with 4 espresso shots. Any idea how many of those one of these pots of concentrate would equal?

@MrPipes2U Hmmm...you could make a concentrate with this but it's designed more for straight up drinking ratio. I think you could put more or less and then vary your steep time as well if you wanted to save a bit more on the grounds side of things. - Kat

Just got mine from y'all. Great stuff, one the smoothest cups of coffee I've had. I did at a little water to the concentrate and that really opened up the aroma and taste. Thanks guys :)

@eddiewang11 We used Cirqua water, which is a mineral additive you combine with a gallon of distilled water. You can purchase these on our site. - Kat
