Youtube tells me that parts 5 and 6 are not available to watch in some countries (even after I mirror-reversed them! I'm not as clever as I thought, I guess). You can still watch this entire movie by going to Internet Archive and typing in "The Mummy's Hand (1940)" and searching in moving images. The movie under this title is actually The Mummy from 1932. I don't know the cause of the mix-up, and I bet it will be taken down soon, but in the meantime you can download it to own from that site. You do have to type in the title exactly right though, or you won't find it.

Update: Oops, I guess there are two movies by that name at Internet Archive and one of them really is The Mummy's Hand! Try this link: http://www.archive.org/details/PhantasmagoriaTheater-TheMummysHand1940544

That should take you right to The Mummy.

  • No Part 5&6?...than this upload is useless...please upload all parts again, and delete the old Parts..this should work..

  • @MrKatzenellenbogen No, I've tried uploading the missing parts twice now, and been denied due to copyright infringement. Once more and I could lose this channel. I agree that it seems very pointless to upload six eighths of a movie, and I considered just removing the whole thing. However, it still continues to get views, and I hope that the people who come here will take the time to read the description above which tells where they can watch the whole movie online for free.

  • no parts 5 and 6 in uk.

  • @johneunson No parts 5 and 6 in any country. Try the website in the description.

  • The medu Neter in the 1st scene is upside down. Amenhotep IV was Akhenaton the son of Tiye and Amenhotep III. The shenu is not incorrect it is just unchanged from its original. Imhotep was not a personality of the 18th dynasty either. Cartouche is French the African/Kamite name for that device is SHENU the Ren or name is place in that device Shen means to protect.

  • @orwellson How Did You Know?

  • @cstoczyn and also for Swan Lake!

  • The cartouche actually appears to be that of Akhenaten but then I suppose he was an "Amenophis" of sorts.

  • No amount of special effects today can equal the mysterious atmosphere set in this film or the brilliant performance of the great Boris Karloff. 6/8, 5/7 who cares it is a treat to see this. Thank you. One day this fascist bureaucracy will end and you will be able to post anything.
