....or.......you could just use a 1/2" screw and screw it into the board from below and pull it tight to the subfloor surface. Food for thought.

LOL, this is just a typical example on US quality.. US produced stuff is shit! I live in norway and we have all kinds of hardwood floors in our houses, from the very cheap to the very expensive, and none of the floors make any sound at all.

What if the squeaking is produced underneath the concrete floor layer. I am on the second floor of a condo complex and have this problem in one place.

maybe only works on raised foundations and that is only if the crawl space is big enough... forget about second story if you need to make holes in the ceiling to find a squeek...
