Nice rendition, my friend, I have never heard Greg Brown's version but bspg53 I also have encountered Michael Johnson's righteous version! Like anything else that comes out of Michael Johnson's mouth, it was, is and always will be angelic!

I haven't heard this song since 1984 when I heard someone perform it at Caffè Lena in Saratoga Springs. I've often thought of it over the years, one of my favorite tunes. Thanks so much for posting it!

Oh my, just found the MJ version on my hard drive. Now I need to go to the SIL'house and hope the origianl vinyl is there with my old collection.

Michael Johnson has a fabulous version of this song on his debut album "There is a Breeze" (early 70's).
