In 2008, H.O.G. members worldwide rode more than 3 million miles during the first H.O.G. Million Mile Monday. This year's event is on Monday, June 29th. The goal? 5,000,000 miles. There is nothing to sign-up for, just ride - ride to work, at lunch, around the block, or even take the whole day off to ride.
After riding, participants can login to http://members.hog.com to record their miles and watch the virtual odometer spin as we reach our goal. Learn more or become a member at http://members.hog.com.

What I want to know is...does HD make a bike that will idle?? Apparently not, because every time I see one at a stop light, the rider is constantly reving the motor. He THINKS he's telling everyone he's cool, but what he's REALLY telling everyone is that he's a fat, old middle-aged white guy who BOUGHT into cool with a subprime loan from HD motorcredit. HD is no longer cool, and it's only a matter of time before they fall. Oh, and the bikes from OCC...not an HD part on them.
I'll ride my share too, but HD just wants you to put miles on your bike so you;ll have to service it and buy oil and parts and they may even get you to buy other stuff while your there. Its all about the dollar.
I ride and I enjoy my ride. But as HOGMembers and Harley owners we need to really have to look at this in a responsible way. 5,000,000 miles represents .037% of our national fuel consumption. Better still it is $3,690,380.00
