there's no exact time, it may vary depending on the quantity you are taking, brand of the blender. You need to just grind it to make coarse paste and not rice puree. You can try grinding for few seconds, check for the consistency and continue doing this till you get desired texture :)

very nice recipe Madhura! We need to wait until the idlis have cooled down little before we remove them with knife. This way they will not stick in the mould, and there will be no wastage..
I loved your idli stand. May I ask where did you get it from?
