Occupy London UBS - a disused UBS Bank building near the City of London is occupied by Occupy London protestors
#OCCUPYLSX
Activists from Occupy made 'legal claim' to the property by gaining access to the building and securing it, saying that it was only right that this kind of action is taken against banks who leave premises empty.
Occupy London supporter Jack Holburn said: 'Whilst over 9,000 families were kicked out of their homes in the last three months for failing to keep up mortgage payments - mostly due to the recession caused by the banks - UBS and other financial giants are sitting on massive abandoned properties.
'As banks repossess families' homes, empty bank property needs to be repossessed by the public.'
Occupy has vowed that the east London building will re-open on Saturday morning as a 'Bank of Ideas', which will 'trade in creativity rather than cash'.
'We will also make space available for those that have lost their nurseries, community centres and youth clubs to savage government spending cuts,' added Sarah Layler of Occupy London.
Events already lined up for the space include talks from Palestinian activists, comedy from Josie Long and a seminar led by controversial trader Alessio Rastani, who recently claimed in a television interview that he goes to bed dreaming of another recession.
Occupy London group have taken over a building owned by Swiss bank UBS.
The activists are hoping to make a legal claim on the building, presumably under the UK's squatter's rights law, and plan to open a "bank of ideas" there.
The building at Crown Place is owned by UBS but not occupied by them.
Those occupying the UBS building in London are likely not aware of the role of expert advisor to UBS, Francois de Combret, in exporting of children ('orphans') from Romania. UBS sponsor Bridge Academy, Hackney.
If UBS has employed Schillings to evict the ‘Occupy London’ squatters, people might like to know about them. They defend EIM Group, linked to the Dutroux Scandal, about the abuse torutre and murder of children. Youtube vid ‘ARK and EIM Group’ for this.

@jackie901 boom and bust to the degree we have seen are not a fundamental part of capitalism. they are due to mismanagement of economies by government.

@gp4nut What the OLSX movement overlooks is a fundamental part of capitalism is it goes up and down, "what goes up..." remark is rooted into Capitalism it's happened in the past and it's happening now, all you need to do is be helpful to one another and sit back and let the sitation resolve, buy more and put more money back into society and everything will resolve, the difference now is those in the darkness who prey on anrchism and unrest know this and are now trying to break status quo for fun

@jackie901 poverty is by definition a relative measure, not absolute. you're right, it doesn't compare to africa, and nobody in the uk starves to death. that doesn't mean that corporatism is ok though. i'm a 100% capitalist, i don't like the socialists in this occupy movement but even modern corporatism is against my values as a capitalist.

@ingsoc2012 Really? that's poverty? well fuck me. Between the children in Africa dying everyday from malnutrition and the so called children in poverty in this country playing on Xbox's and listening to MP3's it's hard to tell the difference, no wonder this countries so screwed up when retards like you think just because you can't afford a bigger home or car that's poverty, are your the biggest idiot alive? do you even really know what povert is? or is your belief the OLSX meaning of it?

@ingsoc2012 As I said before WE are the 99% and you are the 1%, you are the "Underclass", there is no poverty in the United Kingdom, everyone person has a decent ammount of wealth it's how you interpret that which is where your movement spawned from, you believe you are entitled to wealth because someone above you has more, you ARE as greedy as the bankers you hate, your group did not rule out costing taxpayer millions for courts battles if needed, how does that help a recession exatly?
jackie901 3 months ago
@ingsoc2012 As far as I and everyone else including Al Queda are aware they don't operate in Libya, the general reason being and I loosly quote "They have no desire to become involved in a conflict on the side of the Western Crusader" meaning that Al Queda ain't in Libya because that would equal common ground for us both.
Your movement will never win anything, day by day you're losing supporters and your organisers are lying to you with propaganda and lies, OLSX is the only one left.

@ingsoc2012 Typical anarchist response, you couldn't give two fucks for anything but your warped ideology, you know what, your movement has quite alot in common with Al Queda you'll use anyone and anything to get your own way and whilst people around you suffer and cry out you'll sit, watching and laughing.
Truth is we're the 99%, we're happy with the country as it is and we won't let you continue this stupid game of student politics, how do those guys put it again?
WE ARE LEGION
EXPECT US

It's about time, the people of this country should of done this a long time ago. I really couldn't give two flying f's about the school choir, it's really not part of the bigger picture, showing the government, the banks, the media that we're sick of there crap and we're not going to stand for it any longer. Bankers still getting six figure salaries while people are on their ass, the government allowing it from day one after the collapse and the media in bed with the lot of them, makes me sick.

Scum, they claim to act on the publics behalf yet they've disrupted family business and a school choir now is not allowed to play at St Pauls for health and safety reasons, they say they want to resolve the economic recession yet they threatened that they will stay as long as they can even if the public must fork out for the court proceedings, that is disgusting and its clearly obvious these Occupy London protestors are taking a similar path the Gypsies did.
I hope the OLSX protestors die.
