On September 1, 2011, U.S. Ambassador John F. Tefft hosted a reception for the Delegation of U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) during their visit to Ukraine. To open the event, Delegation member Mark Ludwig performed a lullaby written by pianist and composer Gideon Klein. Klein was only 25 years old when he died in Fürstengrube, a subcamp of Auschwitz. This clip features a brief introduction of Mr. Ludwig by USHMM Delegation representative Sheila Johnson Robbins followed by Mr. Ludgwig's full performance. Mr. Ludwig is a tenured viola player with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and former Fulbright Scholar.
