@DubenTubenAndCod the stereotypical turtle beaches are the x41s, if you're talking about those then no. not to mention that i'm pretty sure that the pro 500mk2's that these replaced came out before the x41s and i'm unsure about the turtles' history. however, the turtlebeaches only swivel vertically downward, and that's pretty much it. plus they're pads are huge, and the casing is huge. so to answer your question, no. they don't look like turtle beaches, they look like headphones.

Just got one of these...make sure you pair it up with a Fiio E6 amp or something of the like. Give it a proper setup, and it WILL. NOT. FAIL. TO. IMPRESS. ;)
(Or implode your head. Probably.)

@juantafanta Thanks alot really, this helps so much! I guess I'll go with the Straight cable M50's! Because after all.. i will be using them for producing and the Mk2's seem too colored for that.

@DJiModel Glad I can be of assistance! Yes, having a detachable cable would be an awesome option for the M50 and any headphone in general. I believe that the M50 have plenty of bass, slightly boomy, but I enjoy it for all types of music including bassy heavy tracks. I would say that the Pro700 Mk2 is more geared toward music listening though, but since you are going to mix/produce the M50 have the edge. If you do decide to go with the M50, you need to decide between straight or coiled cable.
These or the M50s for listening to dubstep, electro etc, are the M50s bass a lot worse, or better?

@SirNamesGames Get the Pro700 Mk2 for listening to dubstep and electro. The bass on the Pro700 is much more powerful. The M50 has a balanced sound and used for studio monitoring.
