Taking a buddy Karen out for her first sportsbike ride... A ute (Toyota Hilux?) comes around a blind corner on my side of the road and misses by... Well, it looks like a few inches. I had to run off into the gravel and grass, thank fuck the BMW S1000RR has ABS!
The disturbing thing is, if he'd run us off the road and we'd been injured or killed, it would have gone in the papers as "single vehicle accident, rider lost control of 1000cc sportsbike, speed was a factor." So think about this clip next time you see those words in a newspaper!
