  • Actually it's called "Nobody knows you when you're down and out" by Eric Clapton.

  • Thank you alcapwned. I know the song is called "Nobody knows you when you're down and out". It's a pity, because the opening lines of the song is a promise of an interesting story. Whereas the song title gives away the ending of the story.

    As far as I know the song (music and lyrics) was written by Jiummy Cox in 1923.
