Secondo episodio.

  • @TaranWanderer2 But most of the others were package films.

  • @molemanninethousand Well, but still, only "Make Mine Music", "Melody Time" and "Fantasia" were made of animated segments set to music. That's three out of ten '40s films.

  • @TaranWanderer2 I meant throughout most of the 40s.

  • @molemanninethousand Not quite true; first, '40s films like "Pinocchio", "Dumbo", "Bambi" were all narrative, and some of the package features like "Fun and Fancy Free" contained stories not set to music.

  • I've loved this since the first time I saw it. So beautiful.

  • The Clair de Lune segmant of Fantaisia wasn't lost all together!

though it would have been nice seeing it as it was intended in Fantasia, as it's a Beautiful number. It works Perfectly in the Blue Bayou piece in Make mine music.

  • It's just a collection of animated songs. All the Disney films of the 40's were. During World War 2, a lot of Disney's employees had to go to war and because of this they didn't have the creative resources to make full-length films anymore, so they started making films made up of several shorter segments, and kept doing this throughout the 40s.

  • I don't know, probably a collection of animated songs. Maybe I can look up the information in another book.
