  • @sardestrella

    No problem...

but I think you meant that for prosperomage.

    Still,

I appreciate that you responded that way.

Too many people on YouTube(and elsewhere!)are just so rude even when they're the one at fault.

    Peace,

    -g

  • @ThatCat They did remove the gust locks. During the conversion to Turbines, the technicians/engineers never removed the interlocks to the original throttle linkages to the piston engines. They apparently bound up underway. Most people only repeat the superficial explanation which would indicate that they didn't remove the standard gust locks. Of course, unlike most people on Youtube, I could be wrong,anyway.... I have researched this and the more detailed info re-affirms this, though.
  • @jetpoweredgriffin ok, sorry,

  • @sardestrella -- No. This is real.

Get out of your bed room and off your computer games once in a while. There's a thing outside which normal people often refer to as "the real world." It's a place where actual accidents happen with actual test flights and real people really die.

No. Wait. Maybe you couldn't handle such a thing as the real world.

You might as well go back to your games.

(I've worked in the aerospace industry for longer than you're been alive if your profile is correct)

  • @prosperomage this video is fake, idiot

  • Really, it was a technical oversight. The plane was converted to Turbines and the gust control was interlocked to the original piston engine linkage. It was never removed during the conversion. The manual gust lock was removed as usual but the throttle interlock was not. That was a test flight. If you think this is bad, you should study C-130 crashes. All kinds of fatal crashes involving the failure of a minuscule part at the worst possible time. Usually, parts of the control linkages.
  • fake

  • @jsnmrkDOTcom Apparently it was the cameramans son flying it, he was so shocked he didn't know what to say.

  • what the fuck did this guy not know how to use his slats and flaps?

  • @amishmike1 -- It was a mechanical failure.

    Idiot.
