Here I am in 1981 with Patrick Stewart who plays a Psychiatric Consultant in Maybury General Hospital. I'm the foreman on the building site.

  • I would love to see this again, we must contact the BBC to ask WHY.??

    Aitch,

  • @harryfielder Why not get Patrick Stewart & all the actors & actresses from all the BBC television shows & movies & also your family & good friends to sign a paper petition to authorize the head of the BBC to release the Maybury TV show on DVD, They'll listen to you if Patrick Stewart is with you at the BBC studios handing them the petition

  • @nuwavevidspud

I think Sir Patrick wouldn't have the time, Try and set something up on Facebook and I'll be the first to sign it....

    Aitch,

  • Maybury was a classic and something my dad and I very much enjoyed.

The way he as the psychiatrist dealth with one patient as he was prancing around in his underpants or kicking his car, was done in such a detatched professional exemplary way. Something very mature and decent we all want to see in the face of adversity was perfect for Captain Picard of the Enterprise!

  • @Pulsar205

It was nice to work with the TOP MAN...

    Aitch,

  • I'd be happy just seeing a full clip of the memorable theme tune - the 1 second snatch in this clip just isn't enough!

  • I only have this clip but my grandkid like to look at a younger Grandad....lol...

    Aitch,

see all

  • Maybury sounds too much like Mayberry. They should just call this show "The Andy Griffith Show: The Next Generation"

  • Someone, somewhere, on this planet must have it ??

  • Why isn't this series out on DVD or at least VHS?

  • @harryfielder I must one day see this series again too :)

I was going through a terrible teenage depression when it was aired. To see him play this part was what I needed at the time and it gave me hope there are people out there who understand and care. Thanks to Patrick!
