Working to finish the body for the Rapid show coming up this week in Minneapolis.
http://www.sme.org/cgi-bin/get-event.pl?--001992-000007-home--SME-

Printed lights from Stratasys http://www.stratasys.com/ arrived and were mounted. The lenses are rapid 3D printed using a see through plastic material. Slid right into their sockets. A very nice fit.

If you're at the Rapid show please come by and say hi. We are always very curious to know what you think.

Four of our guys are going to be at the show.

Jim Kor, a.k.a. "The Boss", look for tall bearded guy. Likes to laugh. Has a thing for thoughtful design. A great speaker. If you get the chance check out his talk at the Rapid Show.

Blaine Mcfarlane, Mechanical Engineer but don't hold that against him. Designed most of the mechanical systems on Urbee and keeps everyone in check.

David Bernhardt, talented industrial designer and super awesome guy. One of two designers working on the Urbee car project. He, along with Terry Halajko, designed the elegant look of Urbee and met the 0.15 Cd requirement. A smart guy. Chat him up.

If you have the means I highly recommend going with him to Las Vegas. DAVE, YOU ROCK! i'm still paying for it at home but it was oh so worth it.

and

Jack Slivinski, we brought in some German Engineering talent to help us finish the specialty mechanisms found on the Urbee car. Note: the rear wheel steering mechanism ... Jack built it out of wood. Ya wood. Funny thing is even though its just a prototype the mechanism actual works. Not demo works. The thing actually works. SOMEBODY GET THAT GUY A WELDER! Oh and the steering mechanism self centres without the use of hydraulics.

I hope you stop buy and say high and check things out.

Tilde Lemniscate,
John Vukelic ... writing for Urbee until Urbee becomes a real car.
