  • @6motion6 thank you again.

  • @Famfriass

I know the recording on the LP (now a CD) was made in 1962. He used to minister in the streets in such places as skid row in Phoenix. I may have to google the info again on him, but I recall that he died and possibly some of his kids are gone too. In fact, I'm curious all over again and will probably google Louis Overstreet to see if I can find anything new.

Good luck on getting the CD, it will blow you away.

  • @6motion6 Thank you so much! Do you know anything about this Pastor? His history? How he lived and died? Where his children are now?

  • @Famfriass

I can't recall where I bought it, but check out the Arhoolie (the label the CD is on) web page and you might be able to find it there. I hope it's still in print. You might be able to find it on Amazon too.

You will not be disappointed! I only wish there was more of his stuff available, but to my knowledge, this is it.

  • @6motion6 Where can I buy this CD?

  • @RobertEarl20 What happened to him?

  • I wasn't aware the white people like this kind of music.

  • @creakhead001 O.K So what I heard about Rev. Louis Overstreet and the saints were true.

  • I'm Jewish, but Rev. Overstreet would get me into church in no time.

I was lucky in 1971 to find the LP shown in this video, now I have it on CD. It never fails to please.

  • My grandfather talk about Rev. Louis Overstreet outside of Mason Temple all the time. He states that they stirred up a lot dust outside of Mason Temple. This berfore Mason Temple had grass. I am grateful for my hertiage.
