  • Dr.E can you please explain how we can tell that out Ch2 (in the main chain) is correct. you mentioned that every carbon has 4 bonds. CH2 is whats giving me a tough time :D otherwise best explanation compare to the 5 lines that our o chem book provides.

  • @michellemacco The C atom of CH2 has 2 bonds to H atoms and a bond to the atom on its left and another bond to the atom on its right. That's where the 4 comes from.
