On Monday 18 July 2011 I was lucky enough to be taken the RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, to witness the traditional departure of aircraft which had just taken part in the Royal International Air Tattoo. Although the front line of the spectator line fence was monopolised by hardcore planeheads with long lens cameras, I held my little Nikon above my head and got these shots. This is the second and final selection, although I hope to incorporate these programmes into a wider airshow article at Gloucestershire Transport History ( part of www.visit-gloucestershire.co.uk )
